The apples on the other hand, especially this old cooker are laden with fruit.  Plenty of apple pies....

Green guages

After last years incredible crop of Green Gauges, these three are about it for this year, no '17 vintage Green Gauge jam then......

They were delicious though.

 

Hilltop Plantation, just across the fields has recently been felled and for the first time in 80 years we have a new view of the cottage.  They are about to replant the plantation so after a few years, perhaps ten, it will be another 70-80 years till we see it again.....

The forecast for South Northumberland this afternoon was for thunder, lightning and heavy rain.  What we got was a little thunder and a few flashes of lightning, and dramatic skies.......
