German House Plum
We have one German House Plum "Haus-zwetsche", in our orchard, it didn't have an easy start in life but is now recovering well. This is the first year it has blossomed. It is supposed to be a quite dry fruit and commonly used for baking. Dreaming of cakes to come....

Damsons
The weather is so mild at the moment, and the Damson tree is taking full advantage. The tree is laden with beautiful blossom. The Greengage on the other side of the path is not too far behind...

Damson Blossom
After a winter so far consisting or really quite unusual weather, the first Damson blossom is bursting in the orchard. Fingers crossed that the mild conditions will continue and that we are spared the frosts that will damage the crop....
